Summary of China Entry Visa Policies

  • 29 countries with mutual visa exemption agreements with China

    Holders of ordinary passports from the following 29 countries may enter China visa‑free for business, tourism, family visits, exchanges and transit purposes, for a stay of no more than 30 days per visit. The cumulative stay shall not exceed 90 days within any 180‑day period (subject to relevant agreements; for some countries, the maximum stay per entry is 30 days).

    ●Asia (11): Singapore, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Maldives, Qatar, Armenia, Georgia, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan
    ● Europe (5): Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, San Marino
    ●Americas (7): Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, The Bahamas, Dominica, Grenada, Ecuador, Suriname
    ● Oceania (4): Fiji, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Samoa
    ● Africa (2): Seychelles, Mauritius

  • 48 countries with unilateral visa-free travel to China

    Holders of ordinary passports from the following 48 countries may enter China visa‑free for business, tourism, family visits, exchanges and transit purposes, with a stay of no more than 30 days per entry. The cumulative stay shall not exceed 90 days within any 180‑day period (subject to the provisions of relevant agreements; for some countries, the maximum stay per entry is 30 days).

    ●Asia (7): Brunei, Republic of Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain
